Samsung Galaxy S – iPhone with Android

This year’s CTIA wireless conference promises many announcements on new products and technology for the wireless industry, and Samsung has stepped up to the plate early, announcing the Samsung Galaxy S. The Android-based smartphone boasts a 4″ AMOLED screen and 1 GHz processor, and a surprisingly iPhone-like themed display. It also appears to have an FM receiver for listening to radio, and something called “advanced location based services” – GPS capability with 3D maps.

The phone will be available in North America “soon”.
