Google Voice Works With Alberta Numbers?

Apparently using an Alberta area code will allow you to activate google voice. If true, this means that google voice should work fully in Alberta. Can any other Albertans confirm?

From an anonymous comment poster on one of the other entries on wifitalk.ca as to how to activate google voice:

“Pick a US phone number.
Tie it to a Alberta (403) phone number. Use a friend’s if you are not from Alberta to give the security numbers.

It works.”

Update: Several people have now confirmed that area code 403 does in fact work with google voice. Lucky Albertans.

    Confirmed. But, cannot activate Google Voicemail for the 403 phone.
